Streetscape work continues in the city as council members approved three resolutions Wednesday.
One resolution involved the payment of $338,980 to Kobalt Construction, of Pocono Summit, for work on Columbus Avenue to Winter Street and a portion of Plank Street. A second called for $406,045 to American Asphalt Paving, of Shavertown, for work on Swallow and Winter streets to the intersection of Plank Street.
Joe Chacke, executive director of the Redevelopment Authority, said the projects will encompass the same work as previous streetscape initiatives — improved lighting, roads, walkways and the planting of trees.
Council members also approved a payment of $482,288 to Kuharchik Construction, of Exeter, for lighting.
