Job Summary:
The Purchasing Coordinator will ensure prompt delivery of materials and services by communicating with vendors on the status of orders and eliminating difficulties and delays.

Purchases goods according to the company’s policies and procedures.
Coordinates with Managers to maintain inventory levels
Evaluates vendors based on price, reliability, capability, and previous transaction history
Ensures that purchasing documents are complete, accurate and include reasonable terms and conditions
Maintains pricing history and other vendor records
Research vendors and collect prices, specifications, and other data related to goods and services.
Responds to and resolves administrative inquiries and questions.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:
Must have electrical distribution experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills .
Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail .
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills .
Ability to prioritize
Thorough understanding of materials and services used by the company
Thorough understanding of purchasing policies and procedures
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as recordkeeping and filing.
Ability to work independently.

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Three to five years of tangible experience in a Purchasing role, preferably within the construction industry.

Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Pay: $20.00 – $24.00 per hour
